Sellpher holds campaign funds in escrow. This policy explains when brands receive refunds and how they are processed. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
• Brands pay the full campaign budget (plus platform fee) before a campaign goes live. • Funds are held in escrow and released to creators only as content is approved or automatically settled. • You only pay creators for content that is delivered. How release happens depends on the campaign type: for deals and retainers, when you approve the delivered work, or automatically 48 hours after delivery if you have not responded. For CPM, automatically from verified views once each video's tracking window closes. You approve each video before it goes live.
Most refunds are processed automatically. You do not need to request them: • Unspent budget after a campaign ends: When a deal campaign reaches its deadline, any budget not paid to creators is automatically refunded to your Sellpher wallet. • CPM campaigns: After each submission's tracking window ends and the campaign closes, any unspent budget is automatically refunded to your wallet. • No creator delivered: If no creator delivers content by your campaign deadline, your unspent budget is refunded automatically.
• The platform fee is non-refundable once your campaign has received at least one creator application, because the platform has delivered creator distribution and matching. • If you cancel a campaign before it receives any applications, you receive a full refund including the platform fee. Nothing was delivered, so you pay nothing. • Refunds return your unspent budget; the fee is retained on campaigns that received applications.
• You can cancel a campaign from your dashboard while it has no active applications and no spots held by a creator. • Once a creator has applied and is awaiting your review, has been accepted, or is holding a reserved spot, the campaign can no longer be cancelled. • To cancel anyway: decline the applications you don't want, or resolve the accepted deals, and cancellation becomes available again. Unclaimed reservations release on their own after 12 hours. • On cancellation, your unspent budget is refunded to your wallet. The platform fee is retained if the campaign ever received an application, including ones you declined; if it never received any, you get a full refund including the fee.
• Refunds are credited to your Sellpher wallet balance, not returned to your original card. • You can withdraw your wallet balance to your bank via Stripe or Paystack (subject to the minimum withdrawal amount). • We are working to support refunds directly to your original payment method; until then, refunds are issued as wallet credit.
• Once you approve a creator's live content, that payment is final and non-refundable. • If you do not review a creator's submission within 48 hours of them posting, the payment is automatically released to the creator. Review promptly.
• Retainer payments are held in escrow after you fund them. • After a creator delivers a retainer video, you have 48 hours to approve it. If you do not approve or open a dispute within 48 hours, the payment is automatically released to the creator. • If there is a problem, either the brand or the creator can open a dispute before the payment releases. Opening a dispute pauses the payment while Sellpher support reviews it. • Sellpher support resolves a retainer dispute by either releasing the payment to the creator or refunding the brand. On a refund, the platform fee is retained, consistent with campaign refunds. Refunds are credited to your Sellpher wallet.
Automatic refunds are credited to your wallet as campaigns settle (typically within a day of the deadline or settlement). Bank withdrawals from your wallet depend on Stripe/Paystack and your bank, typically 5-10 business days.
